A Chinoy Wedding.
Aaron is Chinese Peranakan while Lovely is Filipino.
As such, we will be having a mixed Filipino-Chinese (or "Chinoy") wedding.

Solemnisation Ceremony
The solemnisation is the formal and legal part of the wedding where we exchange our vows and make a lifelong commitment before God, our loved ones, and the law. This is a sacred moment that signifies the start of our journey as husband and wife. It is a time of prayer, blessings, and love, and we are honoured to share it with you.

The Entourage
In both Filipino and Chinese cultures, the entourage members are more than just helpers—they are honoured guests who play key roles in making the day run smoothly and ensuring that the couple feels loved and supported throughout their journey. They represent the unity of both families and communities, and their presence adds joy and meaning to the celebration.

Chinese Tea Ceremony
The Chinese tea ceremony is a beautiful and traditional way to honor our parents and elders, expressing gratitude for their love, guidance, and blessings. During this ceremony, we serve tea to our family members as a symbol of respect and unity. In return, we receive their blessings, words of wisdom, and sometimes red packets as a blessing. This ceremony reflects the importance of family in Chinese culture and the joining of two families into one.

Chinese Wedding Banquet
The Chinese banquet is a joyous celebration filled with delicious food, laughter, and good company. Traditionally, it features a multi-course meal, with each dish carrying symbolic meanings such as prosperity, happiness, and longevity. Expect vibrant decor, meaningful toasts, and heartwarming moments as we celebrate this milestone surrounded by the people we love.
